As I drive around this city of trees, I am still amazed at the autumn beauty.
Just as the glowing embers of our first fall fire warms my body, the oranges, reds and yellows of the foliage stokes my soul.
How lucky we are when nature shows us she is an artist beyond comparison.
I wonder if you feel as fortunate as I to have this gift of a special season? Do you take it for granted?
In only a few weeks or perhaps days, the trees will be mostly bare. My eyes will be bereft.
The holiday lights will fill in the gap until the truly dark days of January and February descend.
So soak up this color. Focus on a special tree or shrub. Lock it in your mind.
We will all need to draw on warm memories on cold days when spring seems far away.
Albert Camus said: Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.
